Max > James Garrison Memorial Race

We all remember James. RIP.
Friday night was the James Garrison Memorial walk at Lanier National Speedway. One of my crew members stayed around and enjoyed the walk and the food. Saturday came and it was business day. In practice I was about 4th fastest out of all 36 cars. For qualifying I drew an 18 and went out. The pressure was one for me I was one of the youngest drivers entered in the race and I wanted to prove myself to all of the more experienced drivers. I ran a 14.055 for my qualifying run and that gave me the 16th starting place. When the race entered the track the SEAT series had all of the drivers perform a 4wide drive to the Garrison family as a salute for the reason of being there. When the race began I was behind a good friend of mine Kyle Fowler and we were outside. On the drop of the green flag Kyle and I were off on the outside we both made up like 7 or 8 spots just on the outside. When everyone became spread out I had to fall into line and push and shove my way threw the traffic the best I could. Once I got off the top I pretty much stayed in the same spot and didn't loose any nor did I gain any. I had a good time racing with the 10 car and the other competitors that I was chasing down in the race. We finished the race in 7th. We finished the race with only minor body damage and no true harm done to the car. The money that I won that night my crew and I all donated to the cause of the race, back to the James Garrison Memorial. I really wanted to thank my whole crew for these past two weeks we've made a ton of changes and we are so close to getting our win that we can all feel it. Hopefully we can succeed with our goal and get it this up-coming weekend at Senoia Speedway. Oh, and a special thanks to Joey Clanton again for all of his help with me at Lanier.
