Charlie Gresham began his racing career three days after his eighth birthday at Watermelon Capital Speedway (Cordele, GA). In his four year Bandolero Bandit career (110 races), Charlie has accumulated 56 top 10 finishes and 14 top 5 finishes.
2008 proved to be a challenging year as Charlie juggled various obligations and a broken arm that prevented him from running several schedule races including the first three Thursday Thunder events. However, the lost time on the track caused Charlie’s determination to increase. He returned to action with 3 top fives in his first four races back. As we enter the winter series, Charlie moves up to the Young Guns division (12 to 16 years old), and he is currently 3rd in championship points for the Atlanta Motor Speedway Winter Flurry series.
2009 will likely see Charlie graduate to the Legends Car Semi-Pro division. Although he will be returning to some familiar venues, the challenges of a new racecar should be more than enough to keep Charlie focused on success.
